Welcome to my new niece!

Congratulations to Thursday and Friday! At about 7:45 this morning they welcomed their daughter in the world. She weighed 6lbs, 8 ozs and scored a perfect 10 on the Apgar scale. According to Friday, she has reddish brown hair. Thursday was there for the birth, getting in around midnight. Mother and child are both doing well.

Prayer Request

Please pray for my sister (Friday). She was scheduled for a C-section Friday morning because her baby is breech and sitting on her feet. However, she went in for a scheduled doctor's appointment today and they decided to admit her to the hospital and to move the C-section up to tomororw morning because of some concern that the baby is measuring small, though the tests so far have come back fine. Her husband (Thursday and regular contributor to Fumare) is in the army in basic training at the moment (about 2 hours away), so the Red Cross is trying to get him home in time for the birth.

Notice to all my loyal readers (you know who you are)

I apologize for the lack of posts. Not having a computer at home really makes it difficult and I don't like to post from my work computer. I haven't given up blogging; I'm just on a temporary hiatus until I get a new computer, which I hope will be soon.
